Scott Martin Succeeds Gary Tapella as Rheem President and CEO

August 15, 2005 | New York, NY --Rheem Manufacturing Company has announced that Scott D. Martin has succeeded Gary L. Tapella as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. In making the announcement, Tapella said he would remain as Chairman for an interim period.
Martin recently relocated to Rheem’s corporate headquarters to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to taking this position, Martin served ten years at the company’s Water Heater Division in Montgomery, Alabama. He became Division President in 2000, following leadership positions in marketing at the water heater operation.
Tapella commented: “I have the utmost confidence that Scott’s solid leadership will result in continued advancements at Rheem to best serve our customers and ensure the continued growth and success of our company.”
