Preferred Vent from Rheem solves basement venting dilemma
Many manufactured homes are installed over a basement or crawl space. However a direct vent (gas) water heater may not be installed in such a way that it takes combustion air from the basement or crawl space (UL 307B, Section 4.3c)

The kit features a plenum which requires no heater modification, 16 foot range flexible venting, high wind-tolerant air intake grill.
