Valuable Experience

Working as a Division Quality Co-Op at Rheem Manufacturing has provided me valuable experience in my Mechanical Engineering career. It is Rheem's policy to provide products of excellent quality, and I enjoy being a part of a company dedicated to providing such. I have obtained a great deal of knowledge from the projects I have worked on, such as the establishment of a new quality management database and performing Gauge R&R's. Rheem's environment and people are first-rate, and I would highly recommend Rheem to anyone interested in furthering their knowledge in engineering through the co-op experience.

My name is Emil Antoon, I am a student at Auburn University . I cooped three semesters with Rheem Manufacturing, Water Heater Division in Montgomery , Alabama . I had the opportunity to apply many of the concepts I was learning in Mechanical Engineering, which helped me further understand the subjects taught in my curriculum. I have a better understanding of what engineering involves and am better equipped to be productive for a company.

Gained Knowledge for the "Real World"

My experience at Rheem Manufacturing Company has allowed me to gain knowledge and experience and a better understanding of Mechanical Engineering in the “real world.”   I’m confident that what I have learned in my co-op work terms will be beneficial to me in the classroom and my future job opportunities.  Through different projects, I have been trained to operate programs and machines that I never thought I would learn.  These include welding, forklift driving, band saw, plasma cutter, and Pro-Engineer just to name a few.  I am grateful to Rheem for allowing me to gain so much through my co-op.
